Elephants in the forest...

It is very difficut to see elephants in the forest, and also it is dangerous. If we trace elephants' paths, however, we can see how they live in the forest.

A trail to the raided crop field was used so many times that it became a boulevard.

Elephants seemed to have uprooted plants and taken shower of soil.

An elephant barked a tree. Its height tells how big the elephant was.

Seeds contained in elephant dung put forth buds after a few weeks.

Elephants eat various kinds of leaves and bark of trees and grass, and above all, they like fruits. Seeds of many fruits are not digested but excreted in feces.
Pictures above are Obei (tasty to people as well), Kana (local people use its seeds for cooking), Obambou (this is also tasty), Obolo (as big as a football) in Mboko, local language.
